Katrina Toshach - Veterinarian

Dr. Katrina Toshach graduated with honors from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating small animal internship at Kansas State University and completed my residency training in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has over 30 years of clinical experience both in universities and in private practice. Ultrasonography has always been a passion and she looks forward to providing that extra level of care for your pets and patients.

Who We Are

Partnering with Primary Care Veterinarians to Provide Advanced Imaging and Patient Care

Veterinary Specialty and Soundwave Imaging is a consulting service provided through your primary care veterinarian. Services include ultrasound of the chest and abdomen, echocardiogram, and general internal medicine consultations.

The information obtained during the appointment will be provided to the primary care veterinarian both verbally and in writing. Images are also available for their review. These services will provide specialty level diagnostics and care within your primary care veterinarians office eliminating the time and travel often associated with referral to a specialty clinic. This will allow your pet to obtain advanced diagnostics and care in a convenient and less stressful environment. We do not provide primary patient care.

Departments

Our Services

Veterinary Specialty and Soundwave Imaging provides advanced imaging in a more convenient and less stressful environment of your primary care veterinary office. The advantage of using this service is the additional information and recommendations Dr. Toshach can offer based on her training and experience in veterinary internal medicine.

Ultrasounds

Ultrasound

We offer ultrasounds of the abdomen, chest, and cervical area. The abdominal ultrasounds include the entire abdomen (liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenals, bladder, and more) and the chest ultrasound will evaluate the structure of the heart, thoracic lymph nodes, and look for pleural and pericardial abnormalities. Fine needle aspirates and ultrasound guided biopsies can be performed. This is performed at your primary care veterinary clinic only; we do not provide in home appointments. Sedation and anesthesia is provided by your primary care veterinarian.

Echocardiograms

Echocardiogram

We offer echocardiograms that include M-mode, B-Mode, and Doppler measurements. We can also assess the pericardial and pleural space for evidence of fluid or masses. Pericardiocentesis and thoracocentesis can be performed to provide relief for the patient and to obtain samples for evaluation. This is performed at your primary care veterinary clinic only; we do not provide in home appointments. Sedation and anesthesia is provided by your primary care veterinarian.

Internal medicine

Internal Medicine Consults

We offer comprehensive review of records, internal medicine directed history, and physical examination with a comprehensive report and recommendations. This can be done as a stand- alone service or in combination with an ultrasound or echocardiogram. This also includes follow up consultations in regard to the recommendations made. This is performed at your primary care veterinary clinic only; we do not provide in home appointments.
